Does trimming re-encode the whole file?+
No — it copies the audio stream directly rather than re-encoding, which is much faster and keeps the original quality exactly.
Why might the trim start a fraction of a second early or late?+
Because trimming doesn’t re-encode, the cut point can land on the nearest natural split point in the file rather than the exact millisecond — usually unnoticeable, but worth knowing.
Is there a file size limit?+
No hard limit, but everything runs on your device, so very large files take longer.
