HEIC to JPG
Drag and drop HEIC or HEIF photos below, or click to browse. Everything happens in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
iPhones save photos as HEIC by default, which is smaller than JPG but not universally supported — plenty of websites, older apps, and Windows/Android software still expect a JPG. MediaMint’s HEIC to JPG tool converts your photos right in the browser, so they’re never uploaded anywhere.
Questions about HEIC to JPG
Why are my iPhone photos in HEIC in the first place?+
HEIC has been the default photo format on iPhones since iOS 11 — it looks the same but compresses smaller than JPG. The tradeoff is that a lot of websites, older software, and non-Apple devices still don’t open it directly.
Can I convert a JPG back to HEIC?+
Not currently. Creating new HEIC files requires a licensed video encoder that most browser-based tools, including this one, don’t include — and almost nobody actually needs to go in that direction.
What if my HEIC file has more than one image inside it (Live Photos)?+
Some HEIC files store a burst or Live Photo as multiple frames. If that happens, you’ll get one JPG per frame, bundled into a zip.
