Why doesn’t my AVI file show a video preview?+
No browser has ever supported playing AVI files directly — that’s a browser limitation, not a MediaMint one. Trimming still works normally; you just won’t see a preview player, and the duration is read a different way behind the scenes.
Does trimming re-encode the whole video?+
Yes — the video is re-encoded so the cut lands on the exact point you set, rather than the nearest natural break point. It takes a bit longer than a straight copy would, but the result is accurate.
Will this affect video or audio quality?+
There’s a small quality cost to any re-encode, but it’s set high enough that it’s not noticeable for normal use.
Is there a file size limit?+
No hard limit, but everything runs on your device — large files or long videos take longer and use more memory.
